Deer skull with antlers.  Turquoise eyes and crystal mouthpiece.

THe faceplate has inlaid gemstones that form the pattern of a thunderbird.  Within the thunderbird's body is a round disk with a Zuni sun-face in the center surrounded by carved feathers that radiate outwards.  Mother of pearl and small crystals form spirals around the antlers.

Who are we really?  Composed of deep memories  yet also able to sustain temporary or more permanent masks.

Is this a deer wishing/remembering to be a thunderbird?  A thunderbird desiring flight into the sun? Or is it the ripple outward of the sun providing the food, light and sustenance that created the thunderbird and the deer.?
